Chicago is reinventing the wheel, literally!
Everyone knows the iconic ferris wheel at Chicago’s Navy Pier, but take a good look at it, because the ride isn’t going to be around much longer.
According to Chicago Tribune, it will be replaced by a larger ride with temperature-controlled gondolas before 2016’s centennial party. It will stand at 196 feet tall, which is about 50 feet taller than the current wheel.
You’re going to want to hitch a ride soon, because it’s expected to be torn down in September, and replaced by May of 2016. Get the full story HERE.
