If you were hoping to wander Navy Pier with a drink in your hand, you are in luck. the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Chicago City Council has approved a new ordinance to allow open containers at Navy Pier.
Before passing this ordinance, patrons could enjoy a frothy beverage at a bar on Navy Pier but could not leave the bar with that beverage.
