Nashville Hotline: Jason Aldean Plays “Cool Parent” On Father’s Day

Father’s Day is this Sunday, and Jason Aldean is getting ready to celebrate it with his daughters!

But first, he has made a statement on his Facebook page apologizing for some offensive comments he made earlier this week about police officials who arrested him when he swam in a beach that was flagged.

He says: “I want to apologize for my comments this week. I don’t completely agree with how the situation was handled, but I understand why.”

Maybe he and his family should stay away from the pools this weekend, juuust in case.

He does say that he is “pretty tight” with his girls who are 9 and 4 years old.

“I’m the dad that’s gone a lot,” Jason says. “I think my wife’s more the disciplinary, and then when I get home, I’m kind of the cool parent, because I just kind of take up for them and save the day.”

It must be kind of nice being married to a guy who can just save the day on command, no?

“She hates me for that,” Jason says of his wife. “But [the kids] love me for it, and that’s what counts.”

Another thing that counts is our troops. Craig Morgan will be at Navy Pier on June 18th to put together 10,000 USO care packages for our service men and women overseas. Later, he’ll put on a concert.
